Administrative Assistant

The Port of Coos Bay is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant who will participate as a key team member and provide quality support to all departments and employees through the functions of Office Administration, Administrative Support, Information Systems, and Records Management.  
  
As an Administrative Assistant, your essential job functions will include providing administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Commission, and senior management staff, proofreading documents for typos, accuracy, and completeness, preparing Commission and Committee meeting notices, agendas, and packets, including reviewing and proofreading packet contents, attending Commission and Committee meetings, and taking and transcribing meeting minutes, as well as assisting with projects and other duties as assigned. 
  
As an Administrative Assistant, you must possess strong organizational and problem solving skills as well as a keen attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.  You will need to have an Associate degree and 5 years of experience in a similar position or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
